You have to learn which verb takes which form - and some take both (some with no change in meaning, some with a change in meaning).
In the above, 2 and 3 use the gerund, and 1 takes the infinitive (and most people will use the bare infinitive).

Q:
Gerunds and infinitives. I've mastered them a long time ago,I understand how they work, what they do,and moreover there are similar constructions in my native tounge (Russian). But really, sometimes I pass some school grammar tests (that old-ass school education, formal British English, obsolete words, etc.) and I see those dudes sometimes don't allow to use an infinitive instead of a gerund. Is there some rule that forbids using the infinitive form of a verb? I don't think so,it just changes the focus a little, doesn't it? Take a look at those sentences :
- I continued to work (the accent's on action,I use the infinitive form of the VERB ''work'')
- I continued working (over here the accent is on the process, because gerunds basically work as nouns, they just formed off of verbs). Both are used, and both are correct. But why some bald professor doesn't allow me to use an infinitive in this case? Is there a rule?

A:
I agree, to me there’s no difference between these two forms except maybe the following personal preference: if I was in the process of working and was interrupted, I would attend to whatever it was and then continue working. If I was still healthy and energetic when I retired at 65, I would continue to work.

Q:
¿Esto suena natural? Gerunds are the ing verbs and we usually use them to talk about daily routines or something that happened in the past
A:
The sentence sounds OK and your examples are valid but I would say the canonical use is to talk about what you are doing right now. "Daily routines" is generally present simple. This is a major difference between English and Spanish.
I read books = I generally read a lot of books, but probably not RIGHT NOW.
I am reading a book = I am reading a book RIGHT NOW
I read books = I generally read a lot of books, but probably not RIGHT NOW.
I am reading a book = I am reading a book RIGHT NOW
