A: The word "differs" usually contrast two or more things;
"Empathy differs from sympathy because..."
Differ is used when you don't agree;
"I beg to differ"
"She begs to differ"
"They say he's lying but we beg to differ"

Differing I am not sure how to explain it's like a verb I guess? It is still used as contrast.
"These are differing matters"
And then of course differed is pasted tense.
"Her dress differed from everyone else's in the room."

Some can be used in the same sentence depending on how it's written.
