Q: ¿Cuál es la diferencia entre a litte y a few ?
A: Little* right? I think?

Little can refer to size of something or someone.

"Aww look at his cute little face." 🐶
Bugs are little, a grain of rice is little.

If you have a little amount of something you have not many - no specific number.

Few is if you have a few of something you have not many. It doesn't have a set number and doesn't relate to size.

It's difficult to explain, in terms of having an amount of something that's few/little there is a slight difference.

"I'll have a little bit (of cake)" people will take extra care to give you a small bit.

If you say "I'll just have a few (of something) people will give you a random amount because it suggests you don't care how many you get as long as it's a small amount.

If that makes sense. 😅
Q: ¿Cuál es la diferencia entre a litte y a few ?
A: "Few" refers to a small amount of things which can be counted and measured. "Little" is a small amount of one thing.
"Few" refers more to quantity around usually at least 3, but less than half. For example, in a group of 10 students, a "few" (or several) of them would refer to around 3-4 of them. Five would be "half." two would be a "couple." More than 5 would be "most" of them.

Ex.
I only want a little cake =Natural
Meaning, "I only want a small amount of cake."
I only want a few cake. = X Unnatural

Of course "little" also means just "small" as in, "She ate a little piece of cake."

"She ate a few pieces of cake," is correct as well, since it shows she ate more than one, but not all of the cake slices.

Colloquially, people sometimes use "little" interchangeably with "few."

"There were only a little/few of them left."

But "few" can't be interchanged with "little" all the time, like my earlier example.

"She only had a few of it left." = X Unnatural
"She only had a little of it left."= Natural
"She only had a few of them left." = Natural (since it's plural)
"She only had a little of them left."= Colloquially natural.
