Q: Por favor muéstrame oraciones como ejemplos con Can I use -as well as + past tense?
"I went to post office to collect my letter as well as buying/bought a milk tea at Bubble Shop."
or what is the better way to write? I would like to know how to use "as well as", not "and".
Thank you!
.
A: “As well as” is similar to “and also”, “also” and “in addition”

In that sentence, using “as well as” is ok
“I went to the post office to collect my letter as well as the bubble tea shop to buy milk tea”
->because you went to different places, you need to say where you’re going first or else it sounds like you got bubble tea at the post office too
->this sentence structure is
[past tense] to [present tense]
so the verbs “collect” and “buy” are in present while “go” is in the past

A: I think the Japanese equivalent of "supposed to" is 「〜はず」

In the second case, "She is going to come to this office", I feel that the speaker is certain she will come and is trying to assure the people around him that there is not any problem.
