Palabras similares a "Pet" y sus diferencias

Q: ¿Cuál es la diferencia entre I did have a pet y I had a pet ?
A: "I did have a pet" emphasises that you no longer have a pet. The listener will assume you do not have a pet today.
"I had a pet" does not imply this.

"I did have a pet, but she died"
"I had a pet when I was little"
Q: ¿Cuál es la diferencia entre (A)When our pet dog was four years old,we adopted her as she is apart of our family. y (B)When our pet dog was four years old,we accepted her as a part of our family. ?
A: “apart” means “away from” and incorrect in this sentence. I’m assuming typing “apart” was not intentional.

I corrected the grammar in both sentences below.

A. When our dog was four years old, we adopted her as part of our family.

B. When our dog was four years old, we accepted her as a part of our family.

Both sentences mean the same, but sentence B is not common usage. It sounds awkward.

Saying “our pet dog” the word “pet” is unnecessary. Unless you live on a farm and you have dogs you do not consider pets (stray dogs or working dogs), the word “pet” is understood.

As a native speaker, I would form the sentence this way:

“We adopted our dog, Sally, when she was four years old, and she immediately became an important part of our family.”
Q: ¿Cuál es la diferencia entre i pet dog y i raise dog ?
A: pet a dog = use your hand to touch the dog's fur
raise a dog = take care of a baby dog
Q: ¿Cuál es la diferencia entre i have a pet dog that likes me y i have a pet dog liking me y i have a pet dog to like me ?
A: The last two are incorrect, use the first sentence.
"I have a pet dog that likes me."
But it would be more natural to say
"My pet dog likes me."
Q: ¿Cuál es la diferencia entre pet a dog y pat a dog ?
A: Nobody usually says pat for an animal, unless they are saying "I want to pat his head". I want to pet a dog. I want to pat his head. My dog likes to be pet. My dog likes when you pat his head.
