A: This slogan was indeed popular in the Vietnam War era. It came to represent anti-war sentiments or pacifism. Meaning there can't be a war, if people do not participate in it.

It's hard to track the origin of this quote, but people usually trace it to Bertolt Brecht who said something like:

"What if they give a war and nobody came?
Then, war would come to you!"

This actually has the opposite meaning of the Vietnam War era slogan. This one means that you have to show up to war because it will come to you anyways.
Q: ¿Qué significa "We waged wars on poverty, not poor people."?
A: Instead of attacking people who are poor, they worked to decrease the amount of poverty in the area.

In the US it's common for people to criticize others for not having money, and want to get rid of government programs that help poor people find better jobs or become more educated.

The article or speech you're reading is by someone who understands how removing those programs only creates more poverty, and is upset with the people trying to remove them.
Q: ¿Qué significa "We do not seek a cold, let alone a hot war with Russia . "?
A: It means no war with Russia. Hot, cold, none.

Q: ¿Cómo dices esto en Inglés (US)? 戦争が起これば、多くの国が被害を受けることになる。If a war occurs, Many countries would have unvenefits.
A: Literally, a word by word translation of the Japanese is "If war occurs, it is decided that many countries will receive damage." I could probably express "ことになる" as "will end up" in English because it has that meaning that someone else decided/agreed on it. "被害を受ける" I would say as "get damaged". This expression is funny to use for countries, so I used "devastated" instead. I could also say, "If a war occurs, many countries will end up being damaged," but it's not the way I would express it naturally.

Q: ¿Esto suena natural? I thought that the Korean war was really absurd, for if they fought each other then one should have won either south or north, but there was no result and died so many people without a reason and there end up still remaining a truce line in Korea. It was just nonsense. I wish both south Korea and north korea would make up with each other and forgive as soon as possible.
A: "I thought that the Korean war was really absurd, for if the South and the North fought each other then one should have won, but there was no winner. It was just a nonsensical war; many people have died without any reason and the war ended with an uneasy truce between both sides . I wish that South Korea and North korea would reconcile and forgive each other as soon as possible"

・Not all wars change society.
Would you tell me the difference between these two statements?
I wrote the latter and the English teacher told me that the former was better. But he didn't tell me why.

Society implies a much more direct and encompassing change; like changing on the government level.
Q: "The war was over without shot being fired."
"I would not dare to go home without job finished."
I wonder why in the first sentence there is "being" used, while in the second sentence "being" is omitted. Plus, is it ok to remove the "being" in the first sentence or add a "being" in the second respectively without changing their original meanings?
A: You could add "being" to the 2nd sentence. ("I would not dare to go home without the job being finished") - it would actually sound better this way.

You could also remove "being" from the 1st sentence, but then it would have to become "the war was over without a shot fired".

I hope this helps :)
