I am not sure what you mean by 'bob fire' so I couldn't correct that.

A: There isn't a great way to say this with your original wording.

I would say, "Don't pick your tomatoes before they're ripe". That's a popular Southern American euphemism that means "Don't do something too early. Give it time to mature".
