Radio host and world traveler. I studied Japanese about 20 years ago, but didn’t make much progress. I am now using a program to learn kanji and am interested in learning to read simple texts and news sites such as Easy Japanese. I can speak some Mandarin, having lived in Taiwan 50 years ago when I was in the US Navy. If you plan on visiting Arizona, USA, you are welcome to contact me. I have hosted several people from Japan and China for a short stay. Tucson is about a six hour drive from the Grand Canyon, two hours from Phoenix, and only about an hour from Mexico.
