¿Esto suena natural? "The carelessness and inclement weather have left this sign unreadable."
¿Esto suena natural? "The carelessness and inclement weather have left this sign unreadable."
Does it sound natural? Or should I omit "the" to make it sound more general?
It's a line that appears in a game when you check a sign in the middle of the forest.
The original line in Spanish was "El descuido y la intemperie han dejado ilegible este cartel".
Thank you in advance!

Natural
I think you should keep “the”. It makes it sound more dramatic.
