"To bash" is to hit with something. Bashed-in means it has been hit and now it has a dent or a crater, or maybe it is broken. You also hear "bashed up", which is more a general condition.
"He drove up in a bashed-up old car".
"I saw that the top of the eggs had all been bashed in by the groceries on top of them".
