¿Cómo dices esto en Inglés (UK)? How can I say:"Ann went on doing the cleaning after finishing the cooking." or He went on to do the cleaning after finishing the cooking.

Either, but they mean different things. The first implies Ann was cleaning, then did the cooking, then went back to cleaning.
The second implies that he did the cooking and only started the cleaning after finishing the cooking.
