I disagree with @vittu 's answer. "Copo" is not necessarily anything else.
Actually, we have many different terms to refer to these kind of devices depending on their shape and size.
1) Xícara: a small, bowl-shaped container for drinking from, typically having a handle.
2) Copo: a small, usually cylindrical container without a handle.
3) Caneca: a large cup with straight sides used for hot drinks.
4) Taça: a cylindrical cup with a long stem in the bottom normally used for alcoholic drinks such as wine and champagne.
