@0343-osashimi It's also normal to say "I'm charging my iPhone while washing the dishes."

We don’t say “I’m charging my iPhone during washing the dishes.”
We say “I’m charging my iPhone whilst washing the dishes.”
This is because whilst is a connecting word which joins the two pieces together which is charging the iPhone and washing the dishes. During is not a connecting word so we don’t use it.
