Pregunta de Inglés (US)

‎Firstly, I’m thankful to this wonderful community for selflessly helping people like me who want to get better at English. Sometimes it’s easy to forget that these are real people taking their valuable time out to respond to our questions even tho it’s not their job to do so. I really do appreciate all the help I’ve received and continue to receive from you people.

Talking about questions, I have been assigned to read an article and summarise it based on my comprehension of it. As I was reading through it, I came across the word “symbiotic” and would be grateful if you guys helped me understand what it means in the following context:

“In this way, companies need to become like more like living businesses, building and sustaining symbiotic ties with their customers as if those relationships are with a concierge, butler, or friend.”
