**Grip**
He gripped her hand tightly
The Tyre gripped the road.
The race car had plenty of grip in the corners of the race track.
The films story gripped him.
His shoes had a good grip on the pavement.
**Grasp**
He grasped her hand tightly
From the explanation he could easily grasp the meaning.
He could hardly grasp what she said, as she spoke in Chinese.
He grasped the hand rail tightly as he climbed the stairs.
**Grab**
He grabbed her hand
He grabbed the ball out the air, and threw it to the next player.
He rushed into the shop, and grabbed a can of coke.
He grabbed the handrail, trying not to fall down the stars.
Grip - Normal holding something.
Grasp - Indicates more of a struggle to hold something.
Grab - A bit like grip, but indicates fast speed.
