"gonna" is never really correct. In writing, it's extremely informal and should be avoided. In spoken American English, it's much more common, and acceptable informally. Formally, you really shouldn't verbally say "gonna".
So in writing, your sentence looks fine to me, keeping in mind that "gonna" automatically makes it very casual.
In spoken English, it's fine informally.
