Pregunta de Inglés (US)
Hello, I’ve heard expressions like ‘I am blinded by the sun’ or ‘The sun is in my eyes’.
However, when I wake up from a long night’s sleep and turn on the lights, I experience the same thing.
In this case, can I also say ‘I am blinded by the lights.’ or ‘The lights are in my eyes.’?
Please help me. Thank you! :)

@ptwshin “the lights are blinding” is also another example. & yes they are quite general. You just wouldn’t say (the lights are IN my eyes) that’s a bit unnatural.

@itsval You mean “The lights are in my eyes”
is a bit natural? So, I need to take out ‘are’ from that sentence?
In addition, can I also say “The sun is blinding”? :)

yes correct. It’s more casual “the lights in my eyes.”
