Are those the British or the American phonetic transcriptions? Because in American/Canadian English, they're pronounced the same the same way.
If they are the British way, I suppose it's just the effect caused by an L before a D that changes the way you pronounce the vowel a little bit, which cannot be properly reflected in a phonetic transcription.

@1Honeybee11 Your pronunciation sounds perfectly British to me, I have no critique for you in that regard.
I'm not British myself (I'm Canadian), so I'm not really able to give proper detailed explanations into the nuances of a British accent, I'm sorry to say. My guess is as good as yours on the subject.

@Beanooo waiiiittt but cold is pronounced normaly as for example "Pole" the thing is that in "coal" i do not hear an "ow" sound but a normal "o" as in "dog" and "coal" doesn't have any "D"

@1Honeybee11 I mean I guess you could learn it, but you've pretty much perfected the British accent, so there's not really a reason to haha
