Pregunta de Inglés (US)

I would like to ask about the sounds of this site:
https://www.ldoceonline.com/dictionary/echo
The example sentences have sounds and you can hear them when you click buttons shaped like a speaker next to the sentences.
I think the voice of the top sentence "The sound of an engine echoed back from the thick forest." is British English
and the voice of the second "He could hear eerie noises echoing through the corridors." is American English.
Am I correct?
Sadly I can't distinguish the difference between American and British English properly.
So could you tell me if I am correct or wrong?
