¿Cuál es la diferencia entre pelota y balón y bola ?Puedes dar oraciones como ejemplo.

You can use pelota and balón are almost the same, but if you want to say soccer ball or basketball is more natural to use balón, for example:
balón de fútbol.
We use bola more for bowling ball or that kind of balls.
And yes, some times it depends in the game or sport
(Sorry if I have mistakes, I'm learning English , and I'm not the best at it)

balon: football, basketball,volleyball
bola: every sport ball
pelota: toy ball, but used for any type of playing ball as well

So basically they're all the same thing. Just use balon for soccer, volleyball and basketball only. Not sure why though. Maybe it's only for bouncy balls of this size. There's no rule for it that I know of. Just no one would call a golf ball "balon".

@alexlen: Balón is for specifical ball like soccer, basket, volei...
Bola is a generic name for some toy with spherical form. Inclusive whatever thing with an spherical form is a bola.
Pelota is a ball.
