On the one hand, it stands to reason that never before have we seen such a great deal of people who prefer to download materials rather than buy them. Some people do this because, they have neither the resources nor any kind of discounts to purchase books or music. Were it not for the likelihood of downloading such materials from the internet, not only would they be prevented from acquiring knowledge, but also relishing a pleasant time listening to music. In addition, many unknown artists have the possibility to display their talents with which they were endowed.
Having said that, there are a plethora of downsides. First and foremost, it has a detrimental effect on the writer's and singer's income, inasmuch as people would be not interested in expending money buying physical books and CDs. Secondly, the author rights are in jeopardy because everyone can have access to their work. Last but certainly not least, many people employed in the process of selling will no longer be required.
In conclusion, I would say that there is no doubt that due to technologICAL breakthroughs, we have more access to copyrightED materials. From my standpoint, what writers and singers need to do is find strategies that allow them to be renown for hordes of people. What is more, they do need to acknowledge how imperative is that they look for different ways of promoting their products and augment their revenue. The more networks they use, the better their professional career will be.
