Allright, I'm not sure if I'm 100% right with this, because I only learned this recently. So in an agricultural sense. When we talk about yield, we are talking about the 'harvest'. So our yield is what we got from the field. measured in tonnes/hectares for example. Yield is what you produce.
When we're talking about income, we usually talk about money (or something with the same value). It is the 'revenue' what a business earns from selling it's goods or services. Revenue being income again.
then again, I'm not 100% sure, and this is in a agricultural sense. But I hope it helps you a bit

@kbetheridge10 allright so in this sense you could say the income is the money you earn through work. Like the explanation here. if you work you have an income.

@kbetheridge10 then yield, ehm, because they talk about revenues. I'm going into business economics for a bit. So as far as I know costs and revenues are opposite. So costs are where you spend the money on necessities of running a business. Then the revenues is what you get in return. So here they use tax and interest as an example. These have an impact on the 'owner's equity', so how to explain this. Yield is what you get from things you have already invested in. So tax what returned or interest that was payed to you. This is extra money you just get. You only get income if you do something for it. You get income if you work for it. Income = you have to do something for it. Yield = something you get extra after investing in it. something like profit?
