Technology makes our lives comfortable. Thanks to the development of technology, complex things are simplified, so we can save time and our quality of life is improved. This seems good, but there are as many advantages as there are disadvantages.

First, people lose their jobs. When we walk around the street, we can see a variety of machines. For example, we get snacks from the electronic vending machine. And nowadays, people who take orders like waitresses or cashiers disappear more and more. Instead, they are replaced by convenient machines. For example, if the driverless car is commercialized, there will be less and less taxi drivers. The people replaced by machines will not be able to provide for their families, and if the number of people replaced increases, so will the amount of problems in our society.

Second, technology can change people's ethical consciousness. The more technology we develop, the more we find opportunities to create things we would not have thought possible. For instance, cloning technology has been found to be very controversial, but it is considered by some to be the future of technology that we must pursue.

Third, new technology introduces the development of weapons even more powerful than nuclear weapons. We can't be sure that future technology will only be used to do good instead of evil. War and terrorism in conjunction with improved weapons have rendered our world much more dangerous. Any number of people can be made into victims, including random civilians, and it's surprisingly easy to do with newly developed weapons.

Future technology always involves pros and cons. The best way to proceed is for developers of future technology and consumers of that tecnology should not just accept it, but consider it's effects on the world around them.
