What you think as the speaker. I live in Korea is just a basic fact. Unlike eat or sleep it always is happening. So we don't need -ing to show continuous like "I am eating (now)."
So we use -ing for emphasis. To show it's amazing, or different somehow.
A) What have you been up to?
B) I'm living in Korea! It's wonderful. So many interesting people and I love shopping there.
A) You live in Taiwan don't you Jon?
B) Actually, I'm living in Korea. I got a better job offer.
A) What happened after you got divorced?
B) I'm living in Korea now. I couldn't stay in Japan anymore.

They are extremely similar. There's only a slight difference but it's very subtle, so native English speakers will understand that you presently live in Korea.
"I live in Korea." - This is a continuous situation that doesn't imply anything about the beginning or the end of the situation. If you are a native Korean who has lived in Korea all your life, this is what you would say. You could also say this if you are temporarily in Korea.
"I am living in Korea." - This suggests or implies a temporary situation and that you lived somewhere else in the past. You would say this if you have not lived in Korea all your life, like for example, if you are an exchange student. Saying this if you lived in Korea all your life is a little strange.
To summarize, if you're living in Korea temporarily, you can say either "I live in Korea" or "I am living in Korea". If you're living in Korea permanently, you say "I live in Korea".

That's why you see in the above examples that Jdorie gave for "I am living in Korea", none of the speakers are native Koreans who have lived there all their lives. They all moved to Korea from somewhere else (Taiwan, Japan, etc).

Almost same meaning. “I’m living in Korea” is the action form for “I live in Korea”. Same meaning no matter how you use it in a sentence.
