You means only one person. We means a group or multiple people
“Paying key money will make the owners trust US” means that both of you will be trusted
While
“Paying key money will make the owners trust YOU” means only one person, the person you are talking too, gains the trust

You can be we. Usually, You as we is used in educational writing. If you are talking to a group but it doesn’t include yourself specifically then you can use You (we). But if you’re part of the group, you’d use We.
