Let’s see...
humorous conversationalist
witty comedian
cultured speaker
charmingly comedic fellow (if female: lady or similar word)

It is hard to come up with one good phrase to say what you want, I think.

He is not a comedian (Job)
But he's really funny.
Then can I say he is a Comedic fellow?

I can only say he's a funny guy, so I'd like to improve my vocabulary 😂

@Whykiki You can still call him a comedian or a “character”. You could even call him a “card”. “He’s (such) a card!” Means he’s funny/charming to be around.
