Es: "the gymnast jumps, [and] then rolls to follow up"
El 'and' no es necesario pero se puede añadir sin cambiar el sentido. El 'then' se añade para representar que un paso viene tras el otro - la voltereta después del salto. También "esa frase tiene sentido?" = "does that phrase make sense?".
