My English teacher told me that "just now" is used in Past Simple and "just" is used in Present Perfect. Is it true or it doesn't matter and I can use them in both cases? Can you give me any examples?

I think you can use "just" to be past simple, like "He just passed by"
I searched the website,it said that "just" can be past simple and present perfect.

1. So I can say "He just passed by" as well as "He passed by just now" and it won't sound weird, right?
2. What about Pr Perfect then?
