Pregunta de Inglés (UK)

Please correct this sentence to be natural.

*Native English speakers only please.

Sometimes I see something left on a train, such as an umbrella, newspaper, bottled water. I don't want to seat next to them because they're annoying and also when I'm going to get off a train, someone asks to me if the umbrella that was next to me is mine, saying "Excuse me, I think you've left your umbrella there.". So I answer "Thank you, but it's not mine. It was long sitting there since before I got on the train, hahaha."
