1. Bien, is an adverb (modifies verbs and adjectives)
-bien hecho (well done)
-bien cocido (well cocked)
-Estoy bien (to be good, fine)
2. Buen, is an adjective, but unlike most adjectives in Spanish it's said before nouns.
-Buen día (good day)
-Buena experiencia (good experience, experience is feminine so it has to be buenA)
3. Bueno/Buena, adjective, used after nouns.
-Niño bueno (good boy)
(for some reason the second one is more used than the third one)
