Hello, could you help me to correct my writing, please?

There are many holidays in my country, one of them is Inti Raymi. It’s an ancient indigenous religious celebration. The name of this holiday comes from the Quechua language that means Sun Party. It’s celebrated every year on the winter solstice when Sun is further to Earth and it takes place on June 24th. It was the most important ancestral party by the Incas, and currently, the tradition remains as a theatrical performance.
The ceremony begins in the Coricancha, the ancient religious center of the Inca capital, where offerings are given to the Inti (Sun God) like dances and songs.
After that, people head to the Cusco Main Square to continue the celebration. There they recreate what the Inca populations did at this holiday.
According to the count, together they expected for the Sun to appear and when this happened they thanked the Sun for the year's harvest
The event more important occurs in the Sacsayhuamán, a fortress that is high up of the city, where the Inca and his retinue get to present to Sun their respect. Later the Inca prays in the Quechua language and simulates a sacrifice so that the shaman predicts the coming year’s prosperity.
