I often hear people say "you know what I'm talking (about)?" when they want to make sure whether the listener has understood, but I think that's American. What do British say in this situation?

You can say that in Britain too. Or "do you know what I mean?"

@Stereoblind89: I heard that "you know what I'm talking" without "about" sounds New York. Can I say that in UK or it's considered incorrect?

@Stereoblind89: I used to speak American English before. So before I heard your recording, I'd have said like this. Does this sound hybrid of British pronunciation and American intonation? Or it's just American?

@ddsyrj I'd lean more towards British. Don't forget to include a "what" between "know" and "I'm"
