Assets are valuable things you have. Liabilities are things you must spend money on. Equity is owning a portion of something (for example, shares of stock in a company, or a house with a mortgage you have partly paid off)

@Alpha002 Every business is made of 3 sections.
Assets: You use this to run your business. It includes your bank accounts, equipment, property, inventory etc.
Liabilities: This is the debt that you use to purchase assets. Credit cards, loans, bills for things that you didn't pay for yet etc.
Equity: This is the value of investments in the company. It basically includes how much money was put into the company, how much was taken out, and the income that the company made (or lost).
In accounting and business, total assets ALWAYS equals the total of liabilities and equity combined.
All of these things are listed on a company's "Balance Sheet".
