Situation: receive a call from customer

Customer: hey, I would like to schedule an appointment on next Thursday at 3 pm.

Me: Ok, got it. What is the purpose for the appointment, such as about tax return, investment or registration of company?

Question: I feel like I should not ask “what is the purpose for the appointment” should I just asked “ what bring you here?”

How can I be more natural ?
