I know :"Yaoi" is originally a Japanese word But can someone use this term to describe a bl from another country?

I can say tentatively yes since I've heard Japanese BL comics used to be translated in Koria.
However, the word "やおい" in Japanese gets a little bit old-fashioned in my opinion (It's not incorrect still), and "BL" is a more popular word. Maybe you should use it.
(I Know "Yaoi" has a slightly different meaning from "やおい" but "BL" is used in English?)
