@Renata_O in my opinion, yes, he means the people that know him and care about him :) Most people don't know him or anything about him (or us!) and don't care. You're right, too, though. He (and we) hope that the people who care will care about more than just whether he is alive or dead. I think the meaning in the song is that he is being taken away from his home, friends and family, away from the people who do care. The contrast the song makes is with other people who don't care about him at all. In my opinion!

I'm not sure, but I think that "I have given in to learning Japanese many times" may be fine, and that "I have given in learning Japanese many times" may sound a bit unnatural.

Thank you. In the song of Disturbed "A reason to fight" I have this phrase "I won't give up so don't give in". These two pharsal verbs seem so similar...
- Inglés (UK)
They are similar, but have a little difference.
I won't give up = I won't stop trying
Don't give in = don't be defeated by the pressures and people pushing you and give up.
We give in to something or someone. Don't give in to bullies. Don't give in to tempation. Don't give in to negative thoughts about yourself. Don't give in to peer pressure.
We give up when we abandon our efforts all by ourselves. I wanted to learn Latin but I gave up. (I stopped trying to learn.)
In the song, I think the singer's meaning is that he will not stop caring and trying to help ("I won't give up") so she shouldn't do anything bad to herself because of her bad thoughts about herself or because of the demon inside her ("so don't give in").

As a native could you help me with the interpretation of another song? In the song of Muse " Starlight" there is a piece that says "Far away
This ship is taking me far away
Far away from the memories
Of the people who care if I live or die". In your opinion he means people that really care about him or not? It seems to me like carrying about someone only if he lives or dies doesn't mean to really care? What's your interpretation?

@Renata_O To me, you seem to understand and write very well: I'm impressed! We all need each other, really, I think :) But sometimes people answer when perhaps we don't really know ....
