“stick to” is to be consistent in something.
example: “In order to lose weight you need to stick to your diet.”
“insist” is to continuously try to do something or to continually say/ask to do something.
examples: “She insists that she had nothing to do with the robbery.”
“My sister insisted on getting ice cream.”
“persist” is to not give up and also to be consistent in something. similar to “stick to.”
example: “I persisted in my studying and got a good grade.”
