2) This is correct. But again, I would probably use “pollutants” instead of “polluting gases”. It is still correct, though.

3) If we plant more trees, it can help to reduce the number of polluting gases in the atmosphere.

4) this is correct but I would probably add “the amount of”

E.g

Did you know that plants can reduce the amount of polluting gases in the environment?

But it is correct nevertheless

5) This is correct.
