It sounds a little unnatural. Better would be:
It wasn't a reasonable request, so I was reluctant to take part in it.
It wasn't a reasonable request, so I wasn't keen on doing it.
I didn't want to consider his request, because it was unreasonable.
The request was unreasonable, therefore I was unwilling to consider it.
It was an unreasonable request, therefore I was unwilling to take part in it.
