They are all pretty similar, but refer to the time you want the person do said action.

Prevent is before it actual happens:
Prevent A from going outside in the rain. I wouldn't want A to catch a cold.

Keep is something you want them to continue doing:
Thank you for preventing A from going outside in the rain. Can you continue to keep A from going outside in the rain? I wouldn't want A to catch a cold.

Stop would mean that they have done it prior:
Stop A from going outside in the rain. I would't want A to catch another cold.
