Why do we add ~기 after the noun before 전에 but add ~(으)ㄴ in case of 후에? Would it be wrong to say N + ~기 + 후에?

밥을 먹기 전에 is grammatically correct
밥을 먹은 후에 is grammatically correct
밥을 먹은 전에 is not correct
밥을 먹기 후에 is not correct

The grammar is just like that.

동사+기 전에 verb + 기 전에

약을 먹다+잠을 자다 -> 잠을 자다+기 전에+약을 먹다 -> 잠을 자기 전에 약을 먹으세요.

과거표현'았/었'이나 미래, 추측표현'겠'와 결합하지 않는다. You can’t use it with pre-final ending: 았/ 었/겠.

드라마를 보기 전에 한국어를 공부해요.
드라마를 봤기 전에 한국어를 공부해요.❌
드라마를 보겠기 전에 한국어를 공부해요. ❌

Noun + 전에

시간과 관련된 명사를 사용할 때는 잘 어울리지만 상관 없는 명사는 올 수 없다. You can use noun only with the words about time.

식사 전에 운동해요.
9시 전에 공부해요.
학교 전에 잠을 자요.❌

Verb +은(ㄴ)후에

어떤 행위나 상태가 앞의 사건 뒤에 나타냅니다.

①손을 씻다+②밥을 먹다 ->①손을 씻다+은 후에+②밥을 먹다 -> 손을 씻은 후에 밥을 먹으세요.

Noun+후에

시간과 관련된 명사를 사용할 때는 잘 어울리지만 상관 없는 명사는 올 수 없다.

한 달 후에 한국에 가요.
집 후에 잠을 자요.❌
