I wrote this for a song, and I’d like to know if it sounds ok. I know it doesn’t have to be 100% grammatically correct, because it’s music. So I wanted to know if it sounds fine. Imagine you heard this on a song:

One thing just to make the timeline make sense I would say “You HAVE someone else” and then the “tell me is he better than myself”. Or if you mean to say that they were with someone else and then broke up with them “You had someone else…tell me WAS he better than myself“
