Natural
Sounds natural as long as the reader knows what the spray is, otherwise they'd wonder what spray is at the front door. I'd be curious what the spray is referring to?

"insecticide"

Should I have said a "spray for insects?"

Natural
Is it referring to 'insect repellent' to spray on body to repel insects, or 'insecticide' used by gardeners to spray on plants to repel insects.
Maybe: "Be sure there is an insect repellent spray available (for use) at the front door"
- Japonés

Is it referring to a bottle of insecticide being available for use at the front door, or making sure that the front door had been sprayed with insecticide?
