A good sentence would be, "I am usually busy studying, so I thought it would be good to have someone who was also busy studying to enjoy it with."

That's a good sentence with these changes, "I'm usually busy studying, so I thought it would be nice if I HAD someone who I could hang out with."
Or you can say, .....be nice to have someone to hang out with. This is probably better grammatically. But it is said both ways.
Hang out is always 2 words.
