12am is midnight, 12pm is lunchtime or noon.

12;00PM. Think of it this way: At 12:03PM, it's afternoon. So, 12:00PM is noon.

AM = ante meridian = before midday -> Therefore this is midnight, when a day begins
PM = post meridian = after noon -> the afternoon (obviously)

a.m is in the morning and p.m in afternoon. you have to think to separate the clock in two ( 2 rounds). so when the day starts it's the first round and it will be a.m anf in the second round it will be p.m. now answering your question directly 12 in the noon it's p.m
