¿Cuál es la diferencia entre I hope it stays this way y I hope it stays that way ?Puedes dar oraciones como ejemplo.

this　→　これからも「このまま」だといいな。
（今の状況の良さをを噛み締めながら言う。それまで何の話もしていなくても言える。）

that　→　これからも「そのまま」だといいな。
（何か良い事を言われたとき、あるいは自分から言ったときに、話に出たその状況に続いてほしいという返答・評価をする時に言う。）

Thank you for your answer.
When we talk about the weather, we say “I hope it(the weather) stays this way” but can we use this sentence in the other situations?? I mean not about the weather?
