"Het is hun menens" - is this correct? I've seen it used with "hen" many times but only the indirect object pronoun hun makes sense to me.

Ik denk dat “hun” inderdaad de correcte vorm is. Ik vrees dat hen en hun vrij vaak fout of door elkaar worden gebruikt.

Ik ga akkoord met Blanden. 'Hun' lijkt me hier veel logischer.

Hier ook, denk ik? Een Nederlander heeft me eens ook gezegd: "Als ze hen dialect gebruiken versta ik geen woord". (lol).

@sashavtumane Inderdaad. Dit is trouwens interessant. Nederlanders gebruiken hun dialect steeds openlijker, ook bvb op TV. De trend om meer dialect te spreken is in Nederland zeker zo sterk als in Vlaanderen. Het resultaat is dat beide talen stilaan uit elkaar groeien. Ik heb daar eens een interessante uiteenzetting over gehoord.
