Does this sound natural in English?
Before I set up Evernote for note taking I used to take all my notes using pen and paper. I believe that taking notes on paper is still the best and helps retain information better however as the number of my notebooks started pilling up they become harder to carry. Also, digital offers more powerful searching capabilities.

@leslieking Try this: Before I set up Evernote for note taking, I used to do all my note taking using pen and paper. I believed that taking notes on paper was still a good option because it helped to retain the information better. However, as the number of notebooks piled up, they became more of a problem to carry. Using digital offers/allows/gives/ affords more powerful search(ing) capabilities.
