Hey guys

I watched the following short film:
The English teacher (2020) directed by Blake Ridder.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMpjENF1VDc
I have two questions:
1.)
I enabled the subtitle.
At 7:36 minutes there the student says, ’Tomorrow I have exam, if I pass you keep money, if I don’t pass I give you money back.’
Isn’t it the same result? The money is always at the teacher.

Shouldn’t it be called, ‘… if I pass you keep money, if I don’t pass YOU give me the money back.’
This is for a thanks that the lessons were useful.
or
‘If I pass I hold the money, if I don’t pass I give you money back.’
It’s a stimulation for the student.

Is this because the student isn’t a good English speaker yet and he is confused or is the error on my side?

2.)
At 9:45 minutes there the student says, ‘it was me who hit the car of your wife.’
Isn’t it right that the student sat in his car and the woman of Mr. Robert rode by bike?
Shouldn’t it be called, ‘it was me who hit the bicycle of your wife’?

I would be deeply grateful, if someone will answer my questions.
