"not only... also" is a Chinese construction. I don't really use it in everyday conversation.
However if i was gonna use it:
1) Not only does the sun give us light, it also gives us heat.
2) Not only does he speak English well, he also speaks it fluently.
3) Not only is this young man clever, he is also hardworking.
